The data you will see on the subsequent page will be in 'realtime' (donor willing) AJAXed page showing use of Variable Wind (direction) data MAGNETIC bearing compass with three (3) kinds of textual output: Wind Variation (10 min) less than 60° - Average direction will be output. Wind Variation (10 min) 60° OR greater but Average SPEED less than 6 knots - Average direction (°) will be replaced by VRB Wind Variation (10 min) 60° OR greater and Average SPEED 6 knots OR greater - Average direction (°) will be replaced by eg. 310°V040° NB. directions rounded to 10s (except 'needles') as per METAR spec. There are two (2) kinds of graphic output Wind Variation (10 min) less than 60° - NO graphic output. Wind Variation (10 min) 60° OR greater- 'spread' will be displayed on the compass dial. Runway wind direction arrow still are (gust) colour coded with Average direction (Magnetic, but true to map); Headwind and Crosswind data box: The 'space' underneath is for blinking 'VARIABLE WINDS' and / or 'GUSTING WINDS' advisories |
